Celebrating my daughter-in-law with Crazy Bird

Celebrating my daughter-in-law
with Tim Holtz Crazy Bird and
an abbreviated congrats = (tillykke) in Danish

Congratulations on a wedding

A wedding congratulation
with Tim Holtz Crazy Birds.

The inside of the card says
"Nyd dagen -
den bliver ikke genudsendt"
(enjoy this day -
there are no re-runs
)

I just had the lovely news that my best friends'  oldest daughter is getting married this Saturday, no big celebration, understandably as they only just had a baby daughter - still I want to send them my warmest thoughts together with some flowers.

Party time ...... with Mama Elephant

Partying with Mama Elephant
Ella and Friends.

This card had a hard time coming to me and it was actually sitting on display on my bookcase for quite some time, before I could do the finishing touches.

A few mishaps were covered by the small umbrella and the cloud.

A bottle tag for a giftbag

A bag full of......
and a note to the recipient using a bottle tag.

As guest at a birthday party I wanted to bring some Jerusalem artichokes along for the host and hostess. I didn't have time for a regular card so I grabbed a bottle tag from my stash and it fitted nicely around the neck of the paper bag.

I will have to do more bottle tags................

Time for two.......

with Mama Elephant honey bunnies.

Translation of the Danish text is:
Time for each other is a good time.

My first attempt with the speech bubble and computer text brought to life by the cute bunnies.

Birdies saying congrats

Birds from 'Your Own Scrap'

Whenever I get new stamps, I always try them out on a piece of scrap paper, usually just only just to through them out. The birds were just too cute to end up in the trash bin. The try-outs were coloured and turned into a card with a small handwritten 'tillykke' Danish for congrats.

Sending smiles

Sending smiles..........................

with Mama Elephant and Kaboks die

When my daughter-in-law asked me for a card for a baby christening, I did a few variations, practising for all of the baby cards to come. With a little dimension behind the 'smile', the blue paper is actually showing behind the die cut smile.

Congrats on turning 40

The neighbour turned 40 and with Pinterest inspiration, this male card with was made. Yes a little bling for a man, but the card was sort of flat without it.

Graduation

For the 2015 student.........

with the Lawn Fawn bird and alphabet dies

My niece graduated college and a cards was produced in the appropriate colours matching her student hat.

Tommelise of H.C. Andersen

Tommelise for the HCA Festivals 2015..........

water coloured and in a Sizzix flip card

I can never say no to my daughter according to my husband, and when she asked me to do 200 individually water-coloured flip cards, I didn't immediately say yes, but it only took her a few weeks to win me over. Tommelise, a well known H.C Andersen character, was chosen as the cards were a sponsor greeting for the HCA Festivals sponsors and put in the sponsor gift boxes distributed in connection with the H.C. Andersen Festivals in Odense during week 34/2015.

200 cards are quite a lot, I dare say, and next time I may say NO!!

Celebrating a baby girl................................

with Tim Holtz shadow emboss and Mama Elephant baby stamp/die

The second daughter of my very close friend  gave birth to a baby girl, and of course I had to make a special card for these happy parents as well. This is the second of many baby cards, as more babies are coming

Celebrating a baby boy

Celebrating baby boy.....................

with Paper Smooches and MFT Baby die

The daughter of my very close friend  gave birth to a baby boy, and of course I had to make a special card for the happy parents. This is actually the first of many baby cards, as more babies are coming.

From the heart

From the heart......................

With Washi tape in coordinating colours and heart punches.

This is one of the designs that I do quite  often as it only requires a small top folded paper, a few heart punches and some coordinated washi tape. The stamp is the Danish for: from the heart

I always have a few of these cards in my stash, different colours of course, so they match either the bouquet or the gift wrapping.
